El Ranchito Family Mexican Restaurant #1
352 Griffin Ave.Enumclaw, WA
(360) 825-8511
El Ranchito Family Restaurant is a long time Enumclaw Mexican restaurant, and there are two
branches within blocks of each other. I do not think the two restaurants are created equal, though,
with Restaurant #1 seeming to serve the type of food that would be more appealing to
those who appreciate authentic Mexican food. I would not really call it authentic, though, but rather
a general style of Americanized Mexican food (with lighter sauces than the chile con carne and
heavy cheese sauces used in Tex-Mex food).
Two things I liked about El Ranchito were the reasonable prices and the fact that it
stayed open all day if I wanted a mid-afternoon meal. Some of the meals have been fairly spicy
(after I requested them this way), and I have been fairly pleased with the food. All of the meals have
had good flavor and enjoyable cheese.
On my last visit to Enumclaw I went into (but did not eat in) the newest Mexican restaurant in
town, El Camino. From the menu El Camino looked like it was by far the most authentic Mexican
restaurant in town. Of the remaining Mexican restaurants in town, though (and I have tried all three
of them), I thought El Ranchito #1 was by far the best.
